The following description of a pre-1940 Ukrainian-Canadian wedding is reconstructed from accounts of two actual weddings. The first took place in Swan Plain, Saskachewan in 1920 and the second in Winnipegosis, Manitoba in 1931. The Swan Plain wedding is the main source of the following description.
